Salus Global Corporation is seeking a dynamic and energetic person with a passion for patient safety to join our team as a MOREOB (Managing Obstetrical Risk Efficiently) Program Consultant.

About MOREOB

MOREOB (Managing Obstetrical Risk Efficiently) is a comprehensive, three-year, patient safety, professional development, and performance improvement program for caregivers and administrators in hospital obstetrics units. The Program structure is based on the proven principles of High Reliability Organizations (HRO’s) including: safety as the priority, effective communication, teamwork, decreased hierarchy in emergencies, practice for emergencies, and reflective learning.

The Program Consultant plays a key role within the MOREOB Program with responsibility for supporting MOREOB clients with program implementation, goal setting and measuring the impact of the teams’ patient safety initiatives within their Birthing Units.

The Program Consultant will work actively to support and mentor the obstetric teams in all aspects of the program including participating as a member of the MOREOB Training Team in delivering on-site orientation sessions for all modules of the program.

Responsibilities include creating collaborative relationships with program participants and senior level hospital executives; supporting teams in setting goals and measuring outcomes and facilitating networking and sharing of knowledge within the hospital setting and with other MOREOB teams.

The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate:

  • Hospital experience (Obstetrics experience an asset),
  • Knowledge of hospital administration and the clinical environment,
  • Understanding of patient safety, quality improvement and risk assessment. She/he will also demonstrate excellent management, communication, presentation, leadership and facilitation skills.
  • An ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience in conducting training/education programs
  • Good computer skills and be capable of working with end-users.
  • An essential willingness to travel.
  • Bilingual in French and English is also required where regional needs dictate.

Both part-time and full-time positions are available.
