About Salus Global Corporation
A History of Delivering Safety Performance Solutions
The MOREOB Program has been delivering results for more than five years to thousands of caregivers, their obstetric teams, their hospital’s quality performance and to the women they care for. The Program was initially developed by the Patient Safety Division of the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC).
MOREOB was initiated as a keystone in the SOGC's vision of patient safety. As a next step in achieving this vision, Salus Global Corporation was formed through a partnership forged by the Society of Obstetricians and Gyneacologists of Canada (SOGC) and the Healthcare Insurance Reciprocal of Canada (HIROC). The formation of Salus Global Corporation provided the opportunity for these two organizations’s to bring together their commitment and dedication to work together towards a safer healthcare system. The new company combines the patient and healthcare safety expertise of each organization. Their common interests and unique strengths in patient safety will benefit Salus in their quest to provide the leadership for improved performance necessary to achieve safer healthcare in North American and the international environment.
The two founding partners of Salus Global Corporation supported the combining of the human resources of the Patient Safety Division of the SOGC, joined with additional personnel expertise to meet the needs of the new company. This has enabled continuity, consistency, and the ongoing innovative drive, and operational experience in support of the delivery of the MOREOB Program. With SOGC as one of the founding partners Salus has a pipe line to current clinical content for this program and individual participant data related to the program will remain under the custodial care of the SOGC. The MOREOB program will continue to be the primary obstetrical program product within the new company
